We use elōs™ for striae rubrae or red stretch marks. This is a non-ablative, non-invasive treatment associated with minimum discomfort and minimum to no downtime. A series of treatments are needed to achieve a reduction in red stretch marks.
Fractional CO2 (DEKA SmartXide DOT) is an ablative laser used for several cosmetic treatments, such as fine and deep wrinkles, sun damage, scars and an improvement in overall skin tone and texture. The DOT Fractional CO2 SmartXide laser system uses DOT mode for selective heating of DOT areas leaving normal tissue in between the DOTs which leads to less epithelial damage. Having normal tissue spaces in between treated areas that speed up the healing process compared to the traditional laser skin resurfacing resulting in minimal downtime. This ablative laser treatment for stretch marks works by skin resurfacing and collagen induction. Individual response varies due to differences in the healing response.
