Dr.Malik thoroughly evaluates all Skin lesions for any change in size, color or other suspicious behavior. 

All suspicious skin lesions are Biopsied By Dr. Malik herself and sent to a Dermatology Pathologist for Histological exam to rule out (or diagnose) skin Cancer. This type of procedure is usually covered by most Medical Insurances.  Insurances vary and each individual patient’s Insurance is contacted before the procedure.

Dr. Malik removes skin tags and moles after local anesthesia with lidocaine to minimize any discomfort associated with the procedure. Mole and skin tag removal is considered cosmetic and generally not covered by most Medical Insurances unless moles or skin tags are symptomatic; (change in size, pain, irritation, bleeding and so forth.) In this case, individual Medical Insurance is contacted for prior appproval of the procedure.
